Are you concerned about the Tory/LibDem coalition’s proposed changes to the Fire Services? And especially about provision in NW Leeds?
Labour MP Chris Lesley, former Fire Services minister, certainly is. He’s up in arms about the Coalition’s attempts to put through changes in an underhand way. He’s worried that the Government is planning a back-door privatisation, using committee structures to by-pass a full scale debate in Parliament.
If you’re worried about this – and especially if you want to know about changes to the Fire service in North West Leeds – NW Leeds Constituency Labour Party has a speaker coming to its next meeting that you might want to hear.
David Williams, West Yorkshire Fire Brigade Union Secretary, will speak on 22 March, 7.30 p.m., about the Fire Services in NW Leeds at the Heart Centre, Bennett Rd<a
The meeting is open to all Labour Party members and supporters.
