This year is rather special in terms of City Council elections as all 99 councillor seats are up for grabs. There are 33 wards in Leeds City and they are each represented by 3 councillors.
In Adel & Wharfedale we have selected our 3 candidates to stand in the election which is going to be held on May 3rd 2018. They are:
(please click the links for further information on each candidate)
Branch members will be out campaigning alongside the candidates. We will be meeting every Saturday at 11am outside Asda in Holt Park to organise that day’s campaigning; obviously the more people we have, the more we can do.
There could street stalls where we’re able to engage with local shoppers on current issues (such as School Cuts) and also door knocking sessions to talk to local residents to understand any issues that they may currently be facing. There may be leaflets or letters to deliver as well. All we need is enthusiastic people with a bit of spare time.
If you aren’t sure what you can do to help but want to give it a go then please contact our Campaign Coordinator (Keith Midgley) by eMailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
